The client purchased secluded acreage near this Long Island beach community with several existing structures, all in disrepair. Most prominent was an existing A-frame cabin, the interior divided into a series of dark, musty rooms with strange geometry on three separate levels. When the client rejected demolition, Plan B was to gut the structure and to spatially re-interpret an interior more in harmony with the form and with the site.
