This studio presented an opportunity to design, develop and build a full scale product.  While a conceptual design developed to the point of a full scale mock up, a majority of the design elements are not finalized until the purchase of the timber piece.

The final piece is constructed out of a single black walnut board, and its unique characteristics such as sapwood and waned edges are balanced asymmetrically.  Stainless steel tubing is used to hang the drawer and handle, and the wood is finished in penofin to protect it from bleaching under UV light.
