Twisted Jax Bar & Lounge is a fresh twist on the bar scene. The concept behind the branding of the space is the child’s toy, jacks. Elements derived from the inspirational object are the color, form, and function. The space planning is intended to use the form of a jack to create movement in the space. This is accomplished through the use of slanted beams connecting to circular architectural elements such as the “social bubble”, and columns.
The exterior's focal point is the social bubble: a glass miniature geodesic dome that encourages interactivity and socialization. Within the social bubble is an interactive chandelier which changes lighting patterns as the guest moves his or her hands on a touch sensitive control sphere below. The sphere also has the option to DJ the music that is played within the space. This encourages interacting with the space in an adult way.
