Buenos Aires New Contemporary Art Museum


This project is designed through a specific process with an idea of a continuous and surprising journey through the object. The aim of the process is to have a building that is experientially affective. Design process is driven by emotional trajectories that create paths which connect different spaces. Sensory experience is used for space creation. Contemporary art pieces bring interactive narrative which presupposes that viewers are both physically and emotionally involved. The same is done with the architecture of museum.
Concept diagrams show feeling transformations on the pathways through object. This also has a topological manifestation: the continuous non-orientable surface with different effects on user. Every gallery is a manifold with continuous space flow and multiple openings. Galleries become suggestive locus for dialogue between displayed art(through artist) and visitor.
The surface shapes are cubic volumes which are transformed and enveloped into emotional trajectories…
