For our final year project we have been asked to design a Maritime Museum using an existing structure in Ramelton, Donegal. Our aim was to create a pioneering and cutting edge Maritime Museum that respects the cultural heritage of Ramelton and enriches the area.
We wanted the space to become a valuable asset to the community. We hoped to resolve the issues associated with such a project in order to create this novel development. In order to do this we used a synthesis of criteria from the entire Interior Architecture programme in order to create a design that structurally, physically and conceptually fits the brief, satisfying the client’s needs and contextual criteria.
