Oriented west to east on the Hudson River. The design engages in the site and uses the undisturbed sun and wind exposure to the buildings advantage. Minimizing the buildings environmental impact geared my formal, aesthetic and material decisions. This design studio focused on structures and sustainability.

The driving concept in my design is movement or change. Situated on the Hudson River the undisturbed sun and wind is constantly changing direction. The form I created morphs and changes to maximize heat-gain where/ when needed and still provide shade during the hotter summer hours.
