The museum, the competition, the homeless.

Fundamental even instinctive thought was and is not to enrich the facades aspects for the museum’s profit and his visitors, it was not to alleviate the "visual barrier" between the acropolis and the NMA. Our intervention is an attempt to approach even with the risk to be just one scenario, the major problem of our state and to project it.
First and most important move for us is to demolish the fence and no the preservable buildings. This fencing ridicules any real or not, will of architect and state for “visitor friendly museum”. In our opinion it strengthens the bad planning and the placement of museum. 
Even the ease with which someone demolishes a building regardless if it is preserved or not while there are people facing housing problem it is not acceptable because it prevents the view of the Acropolis from the museum.
Ultimately for us, a museum is just a fake showcase of our culture. In response, somehow, we create our own cultural showcase, which is what we believe true and fair in terms of our reality.
We want and we break down fences, provide public space, we create together with those who need it, their private space. Give oxygen and an opportunity to us, them and the museum to breathe in genuine rhythms of life far from the modeled and fake existence.
As for the museum visitors that might not enjoy the acropolis drinking their coffee, the ARCHITECTURE PROPOSES: remove the value of view from the price of coffee.
The competition is a delayed reaction and without any hope of realization of any of the proposals and a cry without echo. Nevertheless all this is an opportunity for shake, we hope.
Opportunity to show that ours problem is also theirs and not to deal with the “diamond in the fold” and how to preserve its glow.
