The Designer's Loft is a two weeks design project. A graphic designer and book editor purchased a neighboring apartment to expand and improve their existing living conditions. The loft is located in Downtown Brooklyn and they want a live-work environment. The project has a southern exposure. The building is all reinforced concrete construction, all partition walls are plaster over expanded metal lath. The client will work in this environment viewing film and stills day and night. They also must have the ability to entertain clients and has several pieces of artwork that need to be considered for the final design.
