The given site for this studio was Liberty
Plaza and Central Square in East Boston. We
were asked to collaborate with classmates to
create a blind urban site plan using their
model. The model I used for this site design
had the following words:
Threshold
Geometry
Channel
Connected Open Spaces
I created an urban plan which emphasized the
concepts of threshold and channel by creating
small outdoor pavilions from the Callahan
tunnel and main circulation area which
led up to the main structure. The main structure
was stretched to allow for views through
the building and open spaces to outdoor
areas.
