The challenge is to design a mixed-used building, a culinary school/restaurant, in an historical urban setting. The project is proposed to be sited in China Town of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The form and function of the space is designed with reference to local Malay cuisine, at the same time responding to the historical context of tropical shop houses.
