The Design for Low-Rise Residential Complex of Energy-Saving Type

Type A as a two-floored house sets a parking place, a children’s bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor, and a couple’s bedroom, a living room, a kitchen and a multi-purpose room on the B1 floor. PV boards are installed not only on the roof but also on the glass of the living room. In order to reduce heat loss from windows and doors in the winter season, and to prevent overheat during summer season, it is necessary to install sunshades and insulation window glazing system. Considering to form a space for inhabitation and to pursue the cooling effect in the summer season, its walls are decorated with ivy. Finally, by installing a small sized wind power generator, it is possible to pursue electric power generation during night when PV generation is difficult or winter season in which is very windy.

Type B as a middle class two-floored house of skip floor sets a porch and a living room on the 1st floor, and a kitchen, a dining room and a porch connected to the promenade of the complex on the 1.5 floor. On the 2nd floor, there are a couple’s bedroom and a bathroom, and a children’s bedroom and a bathroom on the 2.5 floor. Instead of installing a PV panel on the roof, type B considers its unique decorating the housetop. For producing electricity, it installs a PV panel on the glass of the living room, and a small sized wind power generator is also installed for another method of power generation.

Although the ground shape of type C is similar to that of type A, as the former is located in the north of the planned ground, rather than installing PV board on the roof, it focuses on decorating roof with wild grass, and the walls with ivy. Designing wide windows in the living room, it stores the radiant heat as much as possible in the winter season; and it also installs a PV panel. Type C sets a parking place, a dining room, a kitchen, a living room, a couple’s room and a bathroom on the 1st floor, and a children’s room, a guest room and a bathroom on the B1 floor.

Type D designs a parking place, a kitchen, a dining room and a living room on the 1st floor, and sets a couple’s bedroom, a children’s bedroom and a bathroom on the 2nd floor. Like type B, it also installs the porch connected to a promenade of the complex on the 2nd floor. In order to reduce heat loss from windows and doors, it is necessary to install sunshades and insulation window glazing system. Additionally, decorating the walls with ivy is considered for cooling effect during summer season. Furthermore, PV board is installed on the roof and PV panel on the wide window of the living room. Finally, by installing a small sized wind power generator, it is possible to pursue electric power generation during night when PV generation is difficult or winter season in which is very windy.
