A task was to create a new expository system for a collection of Chinese ceramics and Portuguese faience, collected during a lifetime Vítor and Graça Carmona e Costa - the founders of the museum.
A solution is based on the coherence of criterions used for collecting each piece from around the world. The aim was to create easy access for a galerist by constructing niches with a frame composed of stainless steel and wenge wood in natural color. Irregular composition of rectangular niches in white painted MDF background with a carefully designed geometry, result into a clean design gallery, where ceramical antiques beautifully contrast with contemporary space.
