Substantial remodel of a residence located in Steamboat Springs, CO. Addition of a connecting circulation spine between two older buildings set up the circulation and floor plan of the remodel. Original footprint and foundation of both structures was retained, cantilevering new spaces as req'd. A full height sunroom on the south facade acts as a thermal buffer for the significant diurnal swings at 7400' elevation. Double wythe concrete walls with R30 foam insulation make up the connector assembly.
