Project Statement:
Create a new urban center in a previously uninhabitable area. This will allow contemporary urban living in densified future Los Angeles. To achieve that goal, this proposal is sited adjacent to LAX, the major Los Angeles Hub that has connections to the sprawling greater Los Angeles and the rest of the world. the immediate needs of all inhabitants, including residents and visitors, will be provided within walking distance. it will include all aspects of living, mobility, technology and leisure. Design influences are coming from the nearby airport, ocean and sand dunes. The design attempts to mitigate the sound of jets overhead by amplifying the ambient noise of the ocean across the undulating sand dunes of the former Palisades del Rey.
