taking the legend of the fountain of youth located at the intersection of the beltline and ponce de leon avenue at face value, this project proposes the retrofi tting of the existing sears building as an  arcological hieropolis within the city of atlanta. Its principal functions are to glorify water and to undermine capitalistic branding, “bigness” and the relentless fordian grid while creating a  self-sustaining, pedestrian urbanism in an autopolis.
