This colonial center-entry home is a wee bit too symmetrical for its homeowners.  All four upstairs rooms are the same dimension, and with kids going away to college, the homeowners feel it is time they allowed themselves a master suite. 

The challenge and goal of this remodel and addition is to respect the balance and scale of the historically-proportioned home while providing more breathing room for the homeowners.
