Managed multi-discipline project team and provided complete architectural programming, design, and construction documentation for $57M Caltrans facility. The 29,000 SF, steel-framed structure is composed of striking forms clad in an array of industrial materials and finishes. The facility houses a control center for four in-motion truck scales, a seven-bay truck inspection area, offices, support spaces, and a district training facility for the California Highway Patrol. Construction begins February 2012 and is on track for LEED Gold certification. The design was conceptualized, developed, and coordinated in Revit.
