Team Project with Kyung Eun Lee, Mina Panichpakdee and Richard Park.

The project attempts to create a geriatric neighborhood within the urban setting of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It would accommodate 3 occupant types – Ward 1 (Independent Seniors), Ward 2 (Assisted Living), and Ward 3 (Skilled Nursing). Fundamentally, the project is a retort to the common “nursing home”. Rather than alienating it’s occupants, it creates urban conditions/programs that further integrates the geriatric with other age demographics.
