The Rideau Street Cinemateque was an infill site project on a busy street in downtown Ottawa that was designed to accommodate a number of programs as well as still maintaining a walk-through which the site was previously commonly used for by pedestrians. The cinemateque includes three theatres stacked one on top of another (two indoor, one outdoor) as well as a cafe, video archive, and museum. The facade of the building has elements both close and far as well as a large iconic structural truss system with stairs to the top to create a very interactive building.
