How to perform in Malecom of La Habana?, its old appeareance  is part of its history and its charm,so it should be in a very sensitive way.

I have to make residential building in an old block, most part of it was tumbling down, but i didn´t want  to clean everything. I used a system based in the preexisting  houses, which marks the rhythems in plan and  section, and integrate a concrete belt which structures the intervention in strings.

Inside this strings and between old houses I built wood modules with slats of different inclinations, in order to permit seesight at the bottom, where there are less light, and less at the top. All this complex is always flexible of being constructed by the people themselves, because of its simple way of construction. Wood and concrete between old buildings, dialoguing wiht a raw language.
