THE CANTERBURY WHEEL

A pedal powered wheel transports the 32 pilgrims of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales from London to the Canterbury Cathedral, where its docking station awaits.

Upon arrival the unknowing pilgrims are assigned a position on the scaffold based on their pedaling contribution during the journey.  The result reflects a new set of values associated with the emergence of the middle class in 14th century England.
