Located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Oilgae utilizes a new and upcoming form of alternative fuel: Algaeoleum. Converting algae into a biofuel on site relates to the secondary programmatic element of the hydroponic farm and market space, using "growth" as a theme. The result is a building that becomes and educational node of the community, ultimately making its users aware of the new technology and sustainable fuel.
