This project is a remodel for an exsisting recreation center in Washington, DC across the street for Howard University. This facility contains tennis courts, basketball courts, and both a baseball and softball field and a public pool used by both Howard University althletic programs and student body, Banneker High School's athletic program and the residence of the Shaw/Howard nieghborhood. The remodel includes changes to the landscaping and an expansion to the exsisting structure to include and indoor basketball court, computer lab, and expanded excercise facilities to service the higher density population now moving into the area. The project utilitizes green roof technology to help with water run off and cooling issues common to the Washington, DC area.
