This was my study abroad project; it was a reuse project. For the Technishe Universitat Berlin, we were assigned to outfit the student center of the Mensa building. We had three routes to choose from: Community Center, Sports Center, or Retail Center. I chose to redesigned the interior as a retail center for student activity. The ground floor has a lobby and more permanent structures to house everyday uses. The first floor is an open market/open floor plan idea for students or locals to rent space to sell their goods. The second floor is for the international food vendors. The main concept of my project was to increase public traffic and encourage extracurricular involvement from the students and local community.
