Located in the heart of the World Financial District, the Tribeca Penthouse is a meticulously crafted "Castle in the Sky" within the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences New York Downtown. As the Project Manager and Architectural Designer, I had the privilege of overseeing this project from schematic design through to turn-key completion, working alongside a talented team led by Ike Kligerman Barkley’s principal, Joel Barkley.
This extraordinary project presented a series of unique and exciting challenges that pushed the boundaries of design. Notable for its breathtaking views, the penthouse offers some of the highest residential terrace vistas in the city, as recognized by Forbes and other prominent sources. To the east, the iconic Woolworth Building stands proudly, while the Freedom Tower rises to the southwest, providing a powerful sense of place. The views extend over Ground Zero and the Oculus, anchoring the penthouse in the heart of New York City's most significant landmarks.
This project allowed me to engage in both the fine details and the overarching design concepts that shaped the home. Balancing the micro-level intricacies with the broader vision was a rewarding challenge, and the successful outcome of this project, despite inevitable setbacks, is a testament to the strength of the team and our shared commitment to excellence. I am proud to have contributed to the creation of this exceptional residence.
