The Innovation Center for Agricultural Sciences, CICA was designed in Cholula-Puebla. It's intention is to erase a boundary between San Luis Tehuiloyocan and San Gregorio Zacapechpan, not only providing them with an educational center but also spaces to improve their economy and places for communal gatherings to celebbrate their local festivities. The goal was to bring these two separated communities together into one, sharing and enhacing the quality of life for both. Considering the scarcity of water in the area, innovative methods of cultivation were proposed to conserve this valuable resource. These methods would be taught to the local population to help them save water. The complex structure was designed with two orientationes - one towards for optimizing the sunlight and the other towards the integration with the pre-existing site. The surrounding landscape design incorporated local flora, inviting users to have unique experiences at CICA.
