Haikou Jiangdong Huandao Experimental School is located in Haikou City, Hainan Province, and the campus includes a 48-class high school with student dormitories, as well as an 18-class kindergarten, with a total construction area of 64,700 square meters. This is an exploration and practice in educational thought and local concerns.
The design regards the campus as a miniature pastoral city, responding to the natural environment of the surrounding site with an organic form. The architecture is integrated with the surrounding fields, green spaces, rivers, wetlands, and ocean, together constructing an organic whole. At the same time, the architecture echoes the childlike innocence and fun unique to children with its free curves, rich colors, and poetic spatial forms, creating a space full of imagination, making the campus a unique place that carries the memories of the students’ time here.
