There was a proposal of an existing building for an Rite Aid to be renovated into a Goodwill. I I began the process of modeling the existing
building in Revit. Fieldwork was needed to verify the dimensions. There were two iterations that were shown to the client and the decision
was made to go with the tower element.
Part of the renovation was repainting the windows, storefront, removing the cooler, and adding an additional space that extends out 22’ x
121’ for the back house. The drive-thru was added to the new addtion on the north end instead of keeping it on the east like the existing. To
prevent an high cost, a 3 hour fire rated wall, and a fusible link fire shutter was incorporated, instead of adding a sprinkler system.
