The medical center is located in a rural area, the approach was to create a healing environment for the patients to have access to the natural daylight and ventilation accomplishing a human-centered design. The patient experience is maximized operational efficiency and help improve patient health outcome. By focusing on passive, active, and renewable design details such as building orientation, solar shading, improved HVAC systems, and many more, hospitals can be designed to protect the environment while simultaneously improving the patient’s wellness and recovery time.
