A Hybrid/Mixed use building locate next to Liberty City project in Miami. Composed of Residential/Housing maximized based on Miami 21 zoning.  20% of the housing program should be dedicated to “transitional housing” meant to be stays of 6 months or less. Also, 2500-5000 sq. ft for Commercial spaces meant to house local businesses. A 10,000-15,000 sq. ft Technical School/Cultural Center, carpentry, tattoo, metal work/Folklore Music Center. A series of interior and exterior open terraces will serve as common meeting/gathering spaces for the residents, making a them feel part of a community. A system of aluminum louvers will protect the south and west façade from the intense Sun hitting Miami all year round. To create a building that will strengthen the sense of community is the main idea behind this design, creating integrative spaces that would support the growth of the neighborhood.
