yademan tower by:Vahid Vaziri, Mehdi Mahdavi, Ebrahim Roohi
The structure orientation is one of the important issues associated with urbanization, which is obtained regarding the criteria including weather, sunlight shining as well as wind direction, etc. Having this in mind Iranian architects used the hexagonal shapes in the past. Hence, due to its sustainability we also chose the shape. The idea of light and shadow of the design is derived from Arabesque designs of Sheikh Safi (the historic typical building of Ardabil city). The main idea of the project has been its orientation to Mount Sabalan (second major peak in Iran); so that the project gap will be at the opposite of Sabalan peak and the project will have a suitable veiw to the summit of the mountain.
