A velodrome is a bicycle race track.  The project called for a 10,000 seat stadium on the river front in Boston near Harvard and MIT.  Important facilities included training facilities and offices for competitors and members, administration offices, security offices, bike storage, retail space, turnstiles and ticket offices.  The required parking is strictly for competitors rather than spectators because it is expected that the target market of people intend to take the extensive and well designed public transportation of Boston or use bicycles and other eco-friendly sources of transportation.
