In designing the new corporate offices for a leading wellness company, we sought to create an environment that would represent the values and character of the organization and create a platform for its employees, clients and partners to interact in unexpected ways.A mix of public and service functions- reception, conference room, casual meeting areas, kitchen and lunch areas are all mixed together in a large common area- a big loft space– into which one enters the office. The primary circulation space- a street like volume which is defined by a wood soffit– connects the main public space to the more private office/work stations beyond.
The use of vibrant colors, a mix of patterns and materials and the exposure of the building structure along the perimeter serve to mark the distinctive areas within the overall space.
