My name is Raminta Razauskaite, I am 25 years old. I graduated from Masters of Architecture ARB, RIBA Part II at the University of Strathclyde in 2017 and from the Bachelor degree of Architecture at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, in Lithuania in 2015.
At this moment I am looking for Part II Architectural Assistant job.
During my studies I have gained valuable experience in architectural design and construction, construction engineering technologies, urban design, heritage preservation and environmental planning. My studies have allowed me to cultivate a growing knowledge of contemporary art and architecture paradigms, that have improved my problem-solving, creative expression and ability to critically evaluate and apply theoretical innovations to practice.
Throughout my studies I have had a number of opportunities to engage in architecture from a practical standpoint. In 2012 I participated in a summer internship for three months at A. Vaitulevicius design firm. During the course of my internship I made myself familiar with the work specifics of a small design firm and quickly gained experience producing technical design drawings for various buildings. In July of 2013 I had a three-month long internship at Ensamble studio in Madrid, Spain. I took part in their “Login” program, where, together with other interns I was involved in competitions, commissions, material studies and the development of prototypes. Projects included the “MIT Campus” masterplan, “Shanghai Fabrica” pavilion and the “Montana” performance hall. I completed 2D drawings, worked with a number of 3D modeling programs, and also created scaled physical models. Following my Internship in Madrid, Spain, I returned to Vilnius, Lithuania where I managed a part time employment at A. Vaitulevicius design firm for 12 months. Thanks to this work experience I have gained practical skills in project planing, designing, and scheduling. In addition I further improved my skills with multiple computer aided design softwares, and gained further understanding regarding group project dynamics and client needs. In May of 2015 I worked at NVDC Architects in Glasgow, Scotland for four months as a Part I Architectural Assistant. I was involved in number of projects and worked on many of 2D drawings and 3D models, also made visualisations.
Outside of work and school I have participated in architectural design workshops and competitions. In my leisure time I was attending open lectures at Vilnius National Gallery. Hearing from lecturers from all over the world such as Anton Garcia Abril, Frédéric Chaubin, Ole Bouman and Jan Knikker, has motivated and further encouraged my appetite for architecture on a global scale. This growing interest has in part made me eager to seek more in architectural field.
In conclusion, I feel that I have gained a plethora of valuable experiences during my studies, internship and work in the architectural field.
I have good organizational abilities; I am responsible, honest, and loyal. I always seek my goals and wish to improve; therefore, I am particularly attracted by the opportunity of acquiring new knowledge.
To sum up, I have acquired a lot of knowledge from my studies and work experience towards my future studies and career.
