About

Adrian Christopher Elder.  I come from a medically based family who always pushed me to follow in their footsteps towards the medical field, however, my curiosity and imagination led me to the field of Design.  Architecture has always caught my eye since I was a child and it has always been my desired field of study.  I am currently enrolled at the University of Kentucky, College of Design: Architecture and will be graduating this May, 2014.  I will receive a Bachelors in Art and Architecture with a double minor in Art History and Visual Studies.  Over the years here at the University of Kentucky I have broadened my knowledge of design from Architecture, to art, furniture design, poster design, and digital illustrations.  My curiosity is what drives me to further my knowledge in many fields and hone my skills as a designer.

Employment

University of Kentucky Student Computing Services, Lexington, KY, US, Lab Consultant

I work the main desk in the College of Design: Computer Lab at the University of Kentucky. It is located in the Architecture building and holds programs such as Revitt, Rhino, Autocad, Maya, 3DS Max, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. My job is to help any of the patrons in need of assistance with said programs or any general computer issues. The lab consists of macs that are partitioned for both Mac and Windows operating systems. I also do simple tasks around the lab such as changing out ink and paper for the 36 inch plotter, cleaning the computers, and the general lab area.
