Dario Franchini studied architecture at USI – Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio, where he won the “Prize City of Olten” for his diploma project: Sol_ten, a research on the future development of the swiss valleys.
From 2002 to 2007 he worked with Ennio Magetti learning the practical sight of the profession and from 2007 to 2009 at AuS Architecture and Urban Systems working on urban projects in Russia, Montenegro, Belgium and Switzerland.
Since 2008 he is OTIA member. In 2009 he founded DF - Dario Franchini.

The competition had the goal to create a new representative building for AET, architecturally avant-garde and sustainable.
