Percival and Naomi Goodman Fellowship, Grant
Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation
"The purpose of the Fellowship is to enable the recipient to carry out a project of social significance related to the interests of Percival Goodman. Projects should be strongly humanist and excite the possibility that lives can be changed for the better."
As Percival & Naomi Goodman Fellow, I began to research the rickshaw pullers of Chandigarh. My work aims to understand how they and other urban migrant workers can begin to become more politically empowered and how architecture and urban planning can aid in that process.
