Jooyoung Hong
Comparing to other people, I have traveled and lived in many places (Thailand/Russia) when I was young and experienced diverse cultures. It lead me to pursue studying in design.
I strongly believe Interior architecture can affect people’s life at the most. Once I started interior design program at Virginia Tech, I did not fully understand what it was. While struggling with given assignments and working in details, I have found myself wanting to design for sustainability, social issues and environmental concerns with affordable or reasonable solutions to the matters with each unique solutions and concepts with architectural design features.
My motto is “Don’t be a designer, be a good designer”. As a designer, I want to contribute and influence the world throughout my works in design.
