Experience
Graduate Teaching Assistant in Architecture department– Building Information Modeling (3 Semesters) - spring 2015|16|17
- Taught Building Information Modeling course (ARC 6311) at University of Florida. It included the task of taking lecture, lab and grading 60 students. The course focused extensively on the concepts of architecture modeling, Structure Modeling and MEP in Revit.
Graduate Teaching Assistant in Architecture department – intro to Architecture Structure (3 Semesters) - fall 2014|15|16
- Taught Intro to Architecture Structure (ARC 3503) at University of Florida. It included the task of taking lecture, labs and grading 99 students every year. The course included concepts of load patterns, static analysis of beam, column and trusses and frame design.
DJSoftech Studio – Design Intern - summer 2016
- Gained experience in an architecture firm with task of integrating architecture design process through different design tools, material aspects, codes & sustainable alternatives. The other tasks included drafting, producing detail drawings and analysis.
Vikram Pandya & Associates – Architecture intern - summer 2015
- Gained experience in Architectural design and drafting for corporate house and hospitals. The other task included organizing drawings, making models, supervision and estimation for the respective projects in the office.
Assisted in the book, “Building Information modeling: Framework for structural Design- by N. Nawari, M. Kuenstle” -summer 2014
- Primary task was to do the research for the concepts used in the book and generate the architecture model and results for the book. The book extensively focuses on professional practice of BIM with Autodesk Revit, Robert Structural analysis & extensions.
Projects
- Parking Garage & Commercial Complex (DJSoftech studio): My role in the office was to create and assist in architecture modeling, detail drawings, rendering and presentations for the client. I was also involved making some of the design decisions for the project.
- High-Rise Tower in Miami (Thesis): Proposing High-Rise Tower in downtown Miami for thesis. It is about finding architecture design process & producing solutions through programming, spatial design, wind tunnel analysis, soil, seismic data & county codes.
- East Asia Architecture in Singapore: Visited and worked in Singapore to propose public observation gallery and exhibition space in Chinatown. The proposal was supervised by the professor. It included task project proposal, project design, detailing & presentation.
- Japan & Hong Kong urban studies: Visited Hong Kong and different Japanese cities and streets & took readings and data to analyze its urban answers to public places & pedestrian patterns. The data was compared and effective solutions were laid out in the paper.
