- Born in 1958 in Madras, India, Bharath Ramamrutham has spent 25 years as a photographer. He specializes in Architecture, Interiors, Landscape and Travel photography. With a background in architecture and design and an abiding interest in the arts and crafts of India, his work in both the built and natural environments covers landscapes, architecture and interiors, and the documentation of people, places and traditions all over India. His emphasis on natural light and space, frequent reinvention of the creative approach to his work and unceasing efforts to strive for perfection have earned him a reputation for the integrity of his images. His travels and work have also taken him to South and South East Asia and Europe. His images can be extensively seen in design magazines across India and several important publications including Indian Design, Inside India, Temple Towns of Tamil Nadu, Chidamabaram, Brihadeesvara, Elephanta, Marwar Paintings and Bombay Gothic to name a small selection. His landscape images form part of the Incredible India campaign for the Dept. of Tourism, Government of India. He has also photographed extensively for the Tourism Marketing Authority of Seychelles, and the Mauritius Govt Tourism organisation. Today, besides still being focused mainly on photography, he publishes high quality, large format illustrated coffee-table books on Indian Architecture through his company, Graf Publishing Pvt. Ltd. Graf offers integrated design, visual communications and publishing services with progressive design concepts, refined aesthetic sensibilities, meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on the photographic image. Operating with a small core team from Goa, Graf reaches out to discerning clients across the world.
