About 

I am presently the On-Site Project Manager/Owner's Representative performing CA for a $70M project that is nearing completion.  I formerly was the Technical Director for the US Coast Guard’s Civil Engineering Unit in Miami, Florida.  I supervised the architects & engineers, construction managers and facilities managers.  I was responsible insuring the continued mission readiness for the USCG facilities in the southern & Mid-western United States which includes waterfront facilities, barracks facilities, operations facilities, and air stations, for both fixed wing and rotary wing assets.  My portfolio included general construction, dredging, paving, site drainage, and environmental compliance.  The annual budget ranged in the $128M - $130M for prioritized & discretionary funding. I am presently the Technical Director for the US Coast Guard’s Civil Engineering Unit in Miami, Florida. I was formerly the Director of Facilities Design for the District Attorney of New York. My focus was on managing the Facilities Design Unit and supporting day-to-day operational requests for office renovations for DANY. Previously I was a senior project architect/project manager at HOK working on a large BSL3 (Bio Safety) laboratory which I was responsible for the completion of the design development phase. For several years I worked on large pharmaceutical facilities for Sear Brown (now Stantech). Earlier I was the VP of a start-up A/E firm in Delaware. I served as Senior Architect for KeySpan Energy and was responsible for developing and managing the capital and expense budgets for new construction, corporate interiors and renovation projects. I interfaced with all corporate officers, directors, and managers for the development and implementation of the annual projects. I have experience with corporate interior design, residential, multi-family, and resort/hospitality projects. I have feasibility study experience, long and short range planning experience, construction document production experience, capital budget planning and managerial experience with technical & corporate projects. I bring significant organizational and computer skills to the table. I have been responsible for personnel issues ranging from hiring to EEO actions. I feel confident that I have the skills needed for an executive position. I maintain a NY and FL architectural registration. I have been selected as the On-Site Project Coordinator for a project is nearing completion. I am a direct contributor to the Tapestry Associates team, maintaining & monitoring the project schedule and construction process of a high-end residential sports complex, located on a highly sophisticated, complex and continually developing property located on Eastern Long Island. I am limited as to what I can discuss about this project by a binding NDA and Non Completion agreement. This appointment is for the duration of the project.

U S Coast Guard (Civil Engineering Unit - Miami), Miami, FL, US, Technical Director – Supervisor General Engineering

I was selected as Technical Director – the top civilian position managing District 7 & 8 also known as “Hurricane Alley”. As Technical Director I managed a $29M capital budget & a $30M hurricane restoration budget. I supervise 40 professional engineers, architects, military ocean engineers, CAD specialists, and contractors. I interface directly with the USCG’s construction and contracting branches. My focus is on managing the Annual Budget spend-down and supporting day-to-day operational requests. In the absence of the commanding officer and executive officer I function as commanding officer for the unit.

Job Description: Similar to my prior responsibilities I am tasked with providing and managing the annual budget, resource allocation, design, professional space planning, programming, construction management, overseeing inspection, space fit-out of all construction, improvement and renovation projects. I was appointed the Director of Facilities Design. My focus is on managing the Facilities Design Unit and supporting day-to-day operational requests. I was tasked with re-constituting the Facilities Design Unit as a fully functional & technically competent professional branch.

As senior project architect my responsibilities include technical supervision of architectural personnel, quality assurance, code compliance, design certification, work order management, project cost control, and scheduling. Additionally, due to complexity of the projects assigned, I assist with the project management requirements. PA duties include master planning, schematic design, design development, contract documents, and construction phase services. I was tasked with advancing this project from the conceptual design phase through the design development phase.

Projects include a new a 190,000 SF 5 story BSL3 Laboratory for the New Jersey Building Authority located in Trenton, NJ ($154M).

I joined the Meridian Group to develop an architectural business unit serving the Delmarva area of Delaware. The practice is geared towards supporting the demand for high-end residential, multiple-family residential, and various commercial projects. I was given the responsibility starting the transportation division focusing on the traffic studies and preparation of traffic impact studies.

Projects include: The Magnolia Towers & Restaurant – Bethany Beach, DE – a 4 story condominium with 7,000 SF restaurant; The New Milton Village – Milton, DE – a 300 unit single family residential development, assisted living facility and commercial development; WSFS Bank Branch – Rehoboth Beach, DE and several residences.
