Benlloyd Goldstein has been practicing design in the field of architecture since 2006. Most recently a designer at the award winning Mix StudioWorks architectural office in Marina Del Rey, and previously for Dean Maltz and Shigeru Ban’s office of architecture in New York City, his experience ranges from high end commercial projects to residential, Building Information Modeling, concept visualization, parametric design, development, interiors and fabrication. Benlloyd’s passion for innovative aesthetics and interactive structures led him to found Goldspace in 2012. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from Southern California Institute of Architecture, and a Bachelor of Architecture with High Honors from University of Florida. Recent press include designs published in “Advanced Timber Framing” (Hardcover) by Fox Maple Press 2012, as well as mentions in LA weekly, Archinect, Designboom, and SCI-Arc publications.

Benlloyd Goldstein's research, writing, and designs in relation to Cymatic phenomena and space making are featured and referenced in the "Elements of Design" chapter of this hardcover book published in 2012, written by Steve Chappell.
The team of Joanne Angelus and Benlloyd Goldstein designed and innovated a 3d looping system that can create a squishy space frame fabric from flexible linear pole. This design was chosen by the producers of Coachella Music and Arts Festival to be developed and built with the Ball-Nogues Studio as a full-scale installation for the festival with the whole studio at SCIArc. It’s success was featured on Archinect.com, LA Times and others.
