I am a designer in Boston with a desire to enhance everyday life through focused, sustainable design. I seek opportunities for new experiences and challenges to better myself and to apply these experiences to professional practice. Foremost I believe collaborative environments spawn great design. I find great satisfaction in seeing a project evolve from concept to reality and observing how spaces are experienced by people in an intentional way.
Koetter Kim & Associates Inc., Boston, MA, US, Junior Designer
At Koetter Kim and Associates I worked on a variety projects ranging from large scale urban design to home renovation. The project that I was involved in most was the New Humanities Building at Cornell University. My role began in the design development phase and carried through the final submission of construction documents. I built models, created presentation drawings, and was responsible for all detailing of the project.
TEC Engineering, Lawrence, MA, US, Graphic Designer
At TEC I designed all presentation, proposal and report graphics. I assisted project engineers in the design of public pedestrian infrastructure projects in multiple communities for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. I also documented, photographed, and recorded project progress.
Turner Construction Company, Somerset, NJ, US, Intern
As a summer intern at Turner I worked on two new office buildings and a parking garage at Novartis Pharmaceuticals in East Hanover, NJ. I organized all project related drawings, generated subcontractor work logs and worked toward my 30 Hour OSHA Certification. During my 6 month co-op I worked in Turner's New Jersey offices within the purchasing department. While there I managed bid documents and assisted purchasing agents and estimators in the bid process.
