At Louisiana State University School of Architecture I completed several projects including a Visitor Center for Crosby Arboretum in Picayune, MS, a urban development plan for Jean Lafitte, LA, and Museum of Art in Houston, TX, and a Monastery and Soup Kitchen in St. Louis, MI. During these projects I learned how to draft plans, sections, elevations, site plans, details, and construct physical and digital 3D models. I also learned the importance of design iterations in order to create a design that was approved by faculty as well as representing my own design aesthetic. Many of my designs also included renderings and perspectives created with a combination of photoshop, illustrator, and sketchup. Through online training at Lynda.com, I have taught myself Revit and am eager to apply my new skills to a professional environment.
