Last school year I taught drafting at a high school in Waxhaw, NC. Using drafting equipment I taught my students basic hand drawing techniques. I taught them the proper way to create oblique, isometric, and perspective drawings. My students also learned how to create hand drawn multi-view drawings, and dimensions for these drawings. Using Auto-CAD 2013 my students were taught how to create basic 2-D drawings, and floor plans.
In May of 2012 I assisted an architect by getting dimensions of a national armory. Using a bosch distance measurer I took accurate dimensions of the armory, and later created a floor plan based on the dimensions taken on site. I was able to incorporate the skills I gained from school to create this CAD drawing. I learned the proper way to represent electrical symbols on a floor plan under this architect’s supervision. I am eager to learn, and willing to re-locate
