Mr. Jelliffe is a Master Architect having proved his skill and aptitude for all aspects of architectural practice. His projects have received several awards including the prestigious William W. Caudill Citation from American School & University for the planning and design of the 2000-student Chesterton High School in Chesterton, Indiana.  By staying current with research as well as national, social, economic, and cultural trends, Mr. Jelliffe brings best-practice thinking from multiple fields and disciplines to bear on his projects.  This approach has helped his clients save millions of dollars while still meeting or exceeding their schedule and quality expectations.  Mr. Jelliffe’s signature talent lies in his ability to communicate his passion for good design and how good design can have a positive impact on meeting the complex functional and emotional needs of its users.  He has consistently helped clients visualize their future and helped them execute it successfully.

Mr. Jelliffe provided project management leadership during the design development phase for the City College Business and Humanities Quad at City College, San Diego, California. This was the first major project RNT Architects developed using BIM (REVIT) software. Mr. Jelliffe’s knowledge in the use of BIM software was instrumental in the development of this project, which utilized CM at Risk delivery method.

In the fall of 1999, Mr. Jelliffe was selected from a firm-wide pool of applicants to relocate from Fanning Howey’s Michigan City, Indiana office to Alexandria, Virginia to establish a regional office for Fanning Howey in the Greater Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area to expand their educational practice in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. To build a portfolio of local projects, Mr. Jelliffe was successful leveraging the firm’s educational planning and design expertise to build strong partnerships with local firms, helping client school districts visualize their future, build alignment for uniquely tailored solutions and helped execute them successfully. As Executive Director he was responsible for business development, project oversight, design, client and team coordination and business management.
