I studied at the University College Dublin (UCD) where I obtained both a B. Arch and M. Arch Honor’s degree. The curriculum I studied at UCD was a broad-spectrum architectural approach that gave me the confidence upon graduation to work in a variety of architectural arenas, from the sleek contemporary design of Morphosis to the hospitality driven work of AvRoko Design. My experience working at these two vastly different firms, but both award winning firms, has really given me an understanding of how to look at architectural design from different perspectives. While my mental framework at Morphosis was centered on designing for a grand masterplan scale, at AvRoko my design thinking was oriented more toward providing the typical restaurant or hotel consumer with a rewarding experience. Working from within each of these divergent design frameworks has helped foster both my own design creativity and my skill set in solving a variety of architectural problems.
I am deeply passionate about design, technology and interactivity. I possess impeccable technical and computer skills with excellent knowledge of Archicad, Auto CAD, Rhino, VectorWorks, V-ray, Artlantis 3D, Adobe creative suite, 3D Studio max and other parametric design programs and renderers. I have an avid interest in graphic design and presentation. I have previously attended ‘TYPE & IMAGE’ , an 18 week course covering the fundamentals of visual communication and design for print.
I enjoy challenges and make positive contributions to the workplace through the strength of my work, creative input and personality. I trust you would find me to be well-spoken, energetic, confident, and personable.
