About

I am a designer looking to shake up my career and take on new challenges. My experience in the architecture profession spans mostly commercial and retail interiors for small scale clients. Tight budgets and demanding quick turn around construction schedules required me to constantly push the envelope of typical "white box" build outs, in order to maximize the impact of good design.

My role in projects was established at the very beginning of schematic design through to the end of construction administration and build phase.  The small firms I worked at allowed me to either be the only team member or one of two people creating, drafting, and coordinating sets of construction documents.

Project management skills were fine tuned at architecture firms and were further developed through extra-curricular volunteer activities that included event planning for non-profit organizations and managing an athletic team.  The varied managing styles required between professional and volunteer work played on my strength as an adaptable and quick learner.

Moving forward, I would like to extend my edification and broaden my scope of expertise.
