Los Angeles Unified School District’s New School Construction and Existing Facility Modernization Program. Director of LAUSD’s Design Management department. The 50 member department included a team of 35 professional architects and engineers responsible for the management of over 70 A/E teams in the design and construction of 130 new schools. The program also included over 3,000 modernization and repair projects. All new school projects are CHPS Certified, 5 are LEED Certified. Successfully Partnered with the DSA to achieve shorter, more predictable review durations resulting in significant capitol savings from avoided cost escalation.
