About

After deciding to prepare a formal description of architectural services, I asked myself what is special about an architect and what it is that I most enjoy about my work.
The unique creative aspects of architecture give me the most pleasure. Even though I am a technical expert, I am still an artist. I enjoy molding and creating spaces. I enjoy sketching so you can understand what the work might look like. I strive to meet your needs and create a project we both like that will become a delight and a joy to be in. . I get a warm cozy feeling making my buildings energy efficient. Green is good, it also is the color of money. The sun should shine in to help keep us warm in the winter and kept out in the summer heat..

Senior Architect. Projects for which I was responsible, as Project Architect, included facilities in power plants, a laboratory, office planning, service buildings, and transportation facilities. Power Plant work included a sound isolated laboratory on a turbine room floor, a blast resistant switch gear building and radiation shielding for a nuclear plant. As part of a new security system for a nuclear plant I designed and prepared CDs for a "hardened" (bullet proof) gatehouse for screening employees and visitors. Other facilities include a small office building, office planning and a floating barge maintenance building. Supervised drafting staff and coordinated work of engineers.

Restoration experience includes a mid 19th Century manor house (used as a museum) and its barns and outbuildings. Served on several boards involved in preservation and restoration.
